Rare Rising Stars 2016-  Top 10 Black Students in the UK

Jessica Okoro, founder of Be Science STEM, together with nine other black students in the UK, was honoured as a Rare Rising Star. The Rare Rising Star programme honours Black students who are making strides and positively impacting society in their various fields of study. Being named as part of the Top 10 students in the UK, proved Jessica’s words as stated in the article to be true; “ I realised that it wasn’t about being born with the ‘smart gene’ or being naturally good or bad at a subject.”
