Jessica Okoro, founder of BeScience STEM spoke at TEDx Leicester, where she shared about her experience as a student and the challenges and limitations she was confronted with.Jessica stood against the odds and defied not only her teacher’s remarks which clearly stated, that maybe Science was not for her, but also her history with dyslexia. 

After receiving her A-levels results, Jessica was devastated as her grades were not what she was expecting and knew she was going to miss out on her choice of University.  It was her second year in De Montfort University after she was granted a phone interview and got in, that she founded BeScience STEM.  In
